Pornhub Releases Comprehensive Coronavirus-Related Traffic Stats

LOS ANGELES — Pornhub has released its latest traffic data, revealing how the coronavirus quarantine has impacted visitor volume and content queries on the site which boasts 120 million daily viewers.

The report details the hourly and weekly traffic changes in key markets as the pandemic evolved, along with a breakdown of coronavirus-related searches performed by visitors on the site.

“It became evident that as people were spending more time at home, either self-isolating or working at home, that traffic to Pornhub had risen,” the report reveals and notes that worldwide traffic to Pornhub was up 11.6 percent as of March 17.

Several promotions saw immediate results, with the report citing a 57 percent boost in Italian traffic  March 12, after it offered free Premium service to all of Italy; and a sizable boost beginning March 16 following similar offers — with traffic from France up 38.2 percent March 17 and up 61.3 percent in Spain.

In the U.S., Pornhub’s largest market, traffic increased 6.4 percent March 17, with Canadian traffic up 7.2 percent.

The full report also offers stats from many other countries and besides revealing traffic increases, Pornhub also notes shifts in the time of day when traffic spikes occur.
